We made carpet smarter for a 6.7B industry leader.

Mohawk Industries needed a solution for their commercial carpet team to quickly visualize samples to customers. What started as a singular problem to solve, turned into a 3 year partnership and a revolution in the industry.

A century-old industry, still selling with swatches and shipping labels.

Every commercial carpet that gets made has to be photographed or scanned on expensive specialty equipment before it can appear on a website, in a client deck, or in marketing material. Visualizing that carpet in an actual space meant handing those assets off to disconnected third-party software with no real integration back into Mohawk’s own systems. And when a client wanted to see a custom yarn configuration in a pattern, the only option was to physically manufacture a sample — a process that could take weeks, cost real operational money, and just as often cost Mohawk the client before the sample ever shipped.

For a $6B global manufacturer operating in 30+ countries, that wasn’t a workflow problem. It was a growth ceiling. Every slow sample was a competitor’s opening.

One platform, built to replace an entire disconnected process.

We led our enterprise software dev team, UX/UI design and creative direction on PS Studio, a proprietary web platform built from the ground up to accurately visualize commercial broadloom, tile and plank, and printed carpet across every category Mohawk sells — replacing physical sampling and third-party visualization tools with one connected system.

Visualization Platform Photo-realistic, accurate visualization of carpet patterns and custom yarn colorations directly in a browser — including full room-scene rendering, so a client could see a custom configuration before a single fiber was manufactured.

Backend CMS & Asset Management A connected backend tying the visualization tool to manufacturing spec documents, thread-up information, and exportable 2D and VR-ready assets — turning what used to be scattered files across departments into one system of record.

Cross-Departmental Communication The platform connected previously siloed departments — sales, manufacturing, marketing, and IT — into shared workflows, so an asset created once could be used everywhere it was needed instead of recreated department by department.

Sales & Regional Routing Customers were connected directly to region-specific sales teams inside the platform itself, and Mohawk’s previously cumbersome physical sample books and documents were digitized into the same system — collapsing what used to be a multi-step, multi-tool process into one destination.

Enterprise Creative Direction & Brand Systems Beyond the platform itself, we established scalable brand templates, design systems, and creative standards that kept output consistent across trade shows, campaigns, and every digital touchpoint — and directed the photography and content shoots behind them, so every asset laddered up to one cohesive brand narrative.

Cross-Functional Leadership Delivering this required leading a cross-functional team of 20+ spanning C-Suite, Marketing, and IT — aligning stakeholders with very different priorities around one shared digital sales experience, including the VR product experiences built into the platform.
