Album Concept | Photography | Layout

This is the original photography for EGO vs ID’s debut album jacket we did.  The concept was to hint at the struggles of a heroin addict’s journey and self-inflicted surroundings. Lead Creative, Matthew Welsh, created the sculpture out of cafeteria spoons and then shot the piece against a dark interior landscape. This was a memorable project for us conceptually and execution-wise.

Conceptual art installation for a band on the rise at the time. The photoshoot for this project was done in Matt’s Recording Studio space in Dumbo, Brooklyn. We had known what we wanted to accomplish from a sculptural viewpoint but getting the right scene for the sculpture is what made this album art so powerful.
