Capo D.C. Deli/Bar

Logo | Branding | Web

When the owners of Capo Deli in Washington, D.C. came to us with a concept we were all in. Vintage-inspired delicatessen based on the outer edges of Manhattan’s best sandwiches right in the heart of the nation’s capital.  We worked with our best bud, Rich Ahlers of New England Foundry to come up with a full branding package including logo, menu design, and signage. The result was just as iconic as we pulled references from. Today, Capo has expanded into three locations and all of them sport the logo and branding we created.

SIGNAGE

After completing the new logo and brand guidelines we set our sights on physical signage. The goal was to keep an old-time New York-inspired feeling while remaining fresh in the present. Here at Killdisco, we don’t stop at the digital aspect of design.  Our rich history in manufacturing and spatial knowledge allows us to follow the client through to the end of their journey. Here we have the now famous Capo DELI sign that hangs in NW DC just across the street from Howard University.

MENU DESIGN

We completed our branding package with physical menu signage and menu design. The hanging menus were screened on aluminum to emulate a vintage enamel while keeping them light. Throughout the deli, the menus were hung above the counters similar to traditional Brooklyn delis we grew to love while living in New York.
